Client Chatham-Hope Non-Profit Housing

This project provides gentle intensification to create new, high quality affordable housing units at two sites in Chatham-Kent.  In both cases, two single storey detached dwellings are replaced with three storey stacked towns.  Ground floor one bedroom units will provide much-needed universally accessible living options for the community.  The upper floor units all have two bedrooms and include balconies for connections to the outdoors.  Careful site design places the buildings in alignment with adjacent homes with parking placed at the rear of the sites.  The facades have been articulated with brick in red and charcoal along with wood siding as an expression of the residential neighbourhood context.
