An adaptive reuse fuses two adjacent but very different buildings together, one with significant heritage features, on Hamilton’s focal Gore Park.
With renewed ground floor commercial uses, the largely abandoned for decades upper floors are converted into a new 46 unit residential building.
Two new floors are readily added to the building after a structural feasibility study. Our strategic review of development potential led the client to purchase the adjacent building, making the project viable, while significantly increasing the value of both buildings.
New modern materials unite the disparate elements and embody the renewal.
